The Wedding Ceremony

The wedding took place at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in downtown Akron, Ohio on June 25, 2005 at 2:00 PM.

I will post a picture of the church here once I get one. Until then, a Holiday concert in St. Bernard's is pictured at right.

The Reception

The reception was held at the Akron Radisson, just a few blocks west of the church.

In the picture (bottom right), the Radisson is the building in the foreground. The reception was on the top floor and was very impressive!

The sit-down meal included both fillet mignon and a stuffed chicken breast, plus mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Nearly a month later, some guests are still talking about how amazing the food and service were!

The Engagement

After more than five years of happy times together, on the afternoon of August 6, 2002, I proposed to Cassie. We went for a picnic at the Duck Pond, a park run by the Lorain County Metroparks. I chose the duck pond because of Cassie's love of ducks. After we ate lunch, we went and watched the ducks for a few minutes. I handed her a little box wrapped up all neat and pretty.

Cassie was absolutely amazed when she opened it and saw the ring. She said she had expected me to ask, but had not anticipated getting such a nice ring. She did, of course, say yes - actually before I could even finish asking.
